13th-14th February - Assembly Planning Seminar

Valentines day or not, this weekend was scheduled as the get together for all the RIBI committees to finalise their plans for the RIBI Assembly - Jim must have no need for cupid.  I met Sandra and Gwenda at the Lodge in Newport for the journey up to Donnington Park. Met up with number of current DGs, who are also part of next year's committees and after a sandwich lunch we set to work in laying out the detail of the programme for the Assembly, dovetailing in the 2010/11 GCs goals. No, I am not going to break the embargo so no details here. After a short break we had dinner and then to bed. Sunday we spent sorting out committee member's individual roles and allocating areas of specific responsibility. I shall be covering polio.. We were finished by lunch but it was agreed that we would all get back together at 1430hrs to finish the weekend and then back home.
