The Disabled Team Sports Championships today, held near our home, at the Cwmbran Stadium. Another great event well organised by Don and his team. Lots of pictures here to see but too many to describe what they all refer to. Well, apart from Sandra and that little bottle of Bells she won in the raffle - that I will not let go of. This is one event that stands out in our calendar. The joy and pleasure that the competitors demonstrate is so rewarding.
OK, one or two quick additional comments about the pictures: 1) Note the attire of the Rotarians officiating at the pool tables. A nice touch from the Cwmbran club, who came equipped with dinner jackets and white gloves. 2) The visiting celebrity was Major Phil Packer, a remarkable man who has had to adapt to using artificial legs. This has not prevented him from climbing mountains and taking part in various other extreme sports. He has also become a great champion for disabled people.
