7th June - Young Photographer and Young Writer presentations at the Senedd

Today we had the privilege of being able to present the prizes to the winners of our Young Writer and Young Photographer competitions at the Senedd and AM Jane Davidson joined us to make the presentations.

In the Young Photographer competition the junior winner was Owain of Alltwen Junior School, Pontadawe and the Intermediate winner, Ben, is from Dyffryn Taf School in Whitland. The Senior prize was won by Cathrine, from Barry Comprehensive School. All the winning entries were submitted to the national competition and Cathrine’s outstanding photographs won second prize in the Senior Section.The Young Writer winners for prose were James from Deri View Primary School, Abergavenny, Louise  from King Henry VIII School, Abergavenny and Joseph also from King Henry VIII School. The winners of the poetry section of the Young Writers competition were Megan from Ysgol Gelli Aur, Pembroke, Abigail of Oakdale Comprehensive, Pontllanfraith and Sarah from Milford Haven School.
