10th June 2010 - Last District Council meeting of the Rotary year
Well, the last official duty in the District was completed last evening, District Council. I had lots of Presidential Citations and even more Governor Citations to hand out to deserving clubs. Clubs pulled out the stops this year and raised a staggering £60,000 for TfL and we made some very productive connections with schools and communities. Membership should be up by about 50, the first growth year for some time. Gratetful thanks are due to so many people for allowing me to be part of this wonderful organisation and to be the DG for this year. Memorable it was, hard work it was, challenging it was, but above all else it was tremendous fun with the joy of meeting so many wonderful people freely helping others. Good luck Donna, I know you will blaze a new trail for the District. Off for a break now before I hand over the gong.
