26th April - Rotary Club of Saundersfoot 34th Charter

Tonight we were at the St Brides Hotel, Saundersfoot for the club's Charter evening. The hotel is located on the cliffs overlooking the harbour and the bay and is a superb location for any event. President Brian was not able to be present due to illness but his successor, Keith, proved to be a very capable understudy. It was also good to be able to meet up with old friends, in particular Morgan and Ted, during an evening of fine fellowship and food. The outlook from the dining room is spectacular. The evening gave me the opportunity to recognise the outstanding work done by RIBI Treasurer Howard over the past three years. This is a very busy club and the work they have completed this year, both locally and beyond, reflects this. Dafydd Williams entertained us with stories and anecdotes to complete a thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding evening. A late night saw us home at 0040hrs, which is later than we would like, because on Tuesdays we pick up our grandson at 0730hrs, so not much sleep tonight.
