An early start to get to Cardiff Airport for the flight up to Edinburgh today. I was joining a number of other DGs to pay tribute to John K as the first International President from Scotland. We were celebrating with lunch at the Balmoral Hotel in the centre of the city. You can see from the pictures that is was a very enjoyable event and it even snowed while we were there to add to the festive nature of the day. John has not been well and you can see from the pictures that whilst he is well on the way to a full recovery, he is not quite there yet. My journey home was quite uneventful but for many others, who were also flying, there were considerable delays, not forgetting the road conditions they found once they did get to their flight destination. This will be a memorable day for more than one reason.
