Saturday we had our District Carol concert at Newport Cathedral. I had pursuaded Edwina's Choir to be the mainstay of the concert with two readings interspersed, one in the first half and the other in the second half. The proceeds were to be split equally between the Cathedral's Emergency Appeal and Polio Eradication. It all went very well with numbers slightly down on what I was hoping for but even so we managed to collect £800 on the night. At the conclusion we had a mingle with drinks and nibbles for the congregation and the choir, which was a very lively affair. I am very grateful to the choir and everyone who contributed tot he event with a special thanks to Donna and Mike, who covered the readings. Here is a picture of the choir taken at another church just to show how they look.
