Our first Club 50th anniversary celebrations took place with the Brecon Club on Wednesday 23rd September 2009 at the Castle of Brecon Hotel. The RIBI President, David Fowler and Daphne were there and David was the main speaker for the evening. During the afternoon President Anthony and Pat took David and Daphne around the Military Museum and the Cathedral because of their interest in Rorke's Drift and the 11 VCs that were awarded after that battle. The event was well attended. Brecon's mother club, Abergavenny, and neighbouring clubs Llandovery and Crickhowell, were well represented, as also were the local Lions, Probus Club, Soroptimists and Inner Wheel. The town was represented by the Mayor who also spoke. Here are a few pictures of the evening, which President Anthony and the club should feel very proud of, as a job well done.
