A leisurely start today and after breakfast we make our way to the Golf Club at Haverfordwest, to meet up with local club members.
Onwards then to meet the Mayor and hear about the town's 900 year celebrations at the Mayor's Parlour. The Mayor gave the club PE, David and me a commemorative plate plus a scarf for the ladies and after lots of photos we set off to the Mariners for a multi-club lunch. Good food and good fellowship topped off the morning and it was good to meet up with old friends.
Next it was the long drive back to Pontardawe to meet up with President Geoff and members of the Swansea Valley club at Cwmtawe Community school. Here we also met the school staff and some of the children who won local youth competitions. This was a wonderful experience where we saw what the school had done for TfL and what the club was doing with other schools. David was so impressed with the Powerpoint presentation that the school had put together for TfL that he asked for a copy. We were also delighted that they are planning to set up an Interact club. This is a small club who punch so well above their weight.
Next Stop was President Mair's home in the Marina at Swansea, for a short break before setting off to the Norton House Hotel for our second multi-club meal.
More old friends to meet up with, more fine food and great fellowship. President Bill and AG Clive did a great job.
Off next to our home, a longish drive, for a late turn-in.
