8th March - Youth Speaks Finals

The Manor Hotel, Crickhowell was the venue this year for the Junior and Senior District Youth Speak Finals. The weather was glorious, the venue was stunning and the organisation by Stephen and his team from the Crickhowell club was superb. In the afternoon we had six teams competing for the Junior competition followed by the Senior competition in the evening with seven teams competing. We get used to saying how good the competitors are but the 'wow' factor seems to improve every year. All the teams were well presented, well prepared and gave performances of very high quality. The judges had a really hard time separating them to find the winning teams. The Junior competition went to a school from Llanelli with the Senior being retained by a school from the Rhondda. A great day showing our young people and Rotary giving service to the highest standard.
