Far too much snow for ageing Rotarians to travel too far by car. Anyway, the main roads in South Wales were a nightmare on Tuesday evening.
David C and me had a meeting with the Fostering Network during Tuesday morning. We had a very useful hour with Freda and Maria and agreed in principle to facilitate a one day event for a group of Foster Carers and their charges in the Cardiff area. David now has the baton and will be contacting clubs to see what funds are available. Overall it looks like a very exciting opportunity to improve both the literacy of the children and the ability of their carers to be even more influential in this area.
We just managed to get Sebastien back to Helen as the snow started and that was 1630hrs. It continued to snow and was still doing so when I went to bed at midnight. You can see how bad the snow was on Wednesday morning in the next post - much worse than last week.
