22nd January - Meeting with Carwyn Jones - ShelterBox

We are trying to get agreement to put a ShelterBox tent up at the Senedd on 23/2/10. Carwyn Jones is First Minister at the Welsh Assembly Government and and we have been trying to set a date to meet up with him. During our discussions Carwyn's researcher, Melanie, asked if we could meet him in Bridgend at lunchtime today to let him see a ShelterBox and get some background information. So, we met outside the Glamorgan Gazette Office in Bridgend with the contents of a ShelterBox spread out over the pavement - and no, we did not put the tent up. Carwyn is well versed in Rotary having been a GSE Team member in 1993 visiting D9920. He is our sponsor at the Senedd on 23/2/10. We took loads of pictures as did the Gazette's photographer. Carwyn was very interested in this project masterminded by Rtn Tom Henderson down there in Helston, Cornwall.
