Senedd -TfL Rotary Showcase Planning 2/12/09

We had planned to conduct an Alumni Reunion at the Senedd this year but it was latterly suggested that we move the focus to Thanks for Life, which is what this meeting was about. Carwyn Jones, a GSE Alumnus, was approached and he gave his support to holding a Rotary Showcase at the Senedd on 23rd February 2010, so Clayton, Bob W and myself met Carwyn's Research Officer, Melanie, to discuss and finalise the details. We are all set to hold the event on Purple Pinkie Day, to complement the work that clubs will be doing in schools around the District. Our plans are to make this an all-Wales event with representations from our neighbouring Districts who have clubs in the Principality. The added bonus is that Carwyn was elected as First Minister, which has to add a lot of weight to our plans.
