Today we went down to Tenby to join in with the church service to celebrate the life of Don Ramsay. We had commitments back in Cwmbran in the early evening so we were unable to join the mourners at the Crematorium or afterwards at the Fourcroft Hotel. It was a true recognition of everything Don had contributed to his family and to those organisations he worked for so tirelessly. Rotary was very well represented at the service, including at least 4 Past District Governors, myself and DGE Donna as well as AG Tony and local members. PDG Roy gave an excellent overview of Don's role as PRO in the District and the service as a whole was a fitting tribute to a very gentle, lovely man who will surely be missed.
Bob Higgins was DG for Rotary in South, East & West Wales in 2009/10 and this blog records the important events that took place in the run up to and during 2009/10.
