5 - 8th July Official Visit to Knighton & District

Lunchtime on Wednesday found us at the Baron of Beef in Bucknell. Knighton & District is the only 1150 club to meet in England. The journey was a little tiresome and we left later that than planned, due to some urgent catching up that had to be done, so we screamed into the pub car park with literally two minutes to spare and were greeted by President Cathy with her mobile in her hand, just about to call us to see if all was well. This is a very relaxed and informal club with a strong feeling of togetherness. So my first Official Visit without wearing a tie and the jacket came off fairly quickly too. Cathy had somehow picked up that today was our wedding anniversary and made the announcement. My spies had told me that it was also Cathy's birthday so we were able to give her a card. Back across country via Brecon to Cardiff saw us traveling through some of south east Wales' picturesque scenery.
