Preparing for District Assembly
No pictures of this I am afraid. The early part of May was taken up with a frensy of meetings and lots of hard work in getting everything ready for the District Assembly. There were PowerPoint presentations to finalise and brief the presenters, a TfL flyer to be finalised and printed, the District Conference registration documents to be put to bed and printed (this meant finalising the programme first), checking out the venue and the breakout room aloocations and the final notification to clubs to attend. Grateful thanks to David Wilshire, Bob Wilson, Clayton Heycock, Stephen Rogers, Martyn Dean and Bill Watkins. Changing our District Secretary did have an impact on the smooth progression towards this important event, which I suppose is not surprising but the impact was greater than I expected and it produced a heavier worload for those involved in the preparation. Nevertheless we did get through it with a little time to spare.
