Belated Christmas Present
Edwina's Christmas present for me in 2008 was a trip to the historic dockyard at Portsmouth, including the Spinnaker Tower, plus a night in a hotel that is part of the new dockside retail area. So, here are some pictures of the tower from inside and outside. The one with all the steelwork of the structure visible beneath the glass floor is the most terrifying, if you do no like heights. You can just make out the boats in the marina. Edwina would not walk over the glass floor and I did not find it easy. It goes against all your self preservation thoughts to step out into what might be open air. The views over the harbour and the Solent toward the Isle of White were great and on a good day you would be able to see for 23 miles.
